In Happy Death Day, Theresa Gelbman faces her death over and over again in a groundhogs-day-turned-horror comedy. Theresa is hunted over and over on her birthday by a baby face masked killer who, despite her many tries, always finds a way to kill her. Not only does she have to try and solve her own murder, but she’s got to live long enough to do something about it as after each time loop her body is still sustaining injuries. The film is also interested in more than just murder fun as Theresa must learn to patch things up with her father to whom she has been distant since her mother’s untimely death and to become a better person in general.
