Netflix Nuggets! Behind the Mask movie review (The Rise of Leslie Vernon)
What to Expect
Behind the Mask takes place in a world where Freddy, Jason and Meyers are all real. And Vernon is an ambitious rising star just looking to join their ranks in the slasher Hall of Fame. He works hard at his craft and even has serial killing mentors that help him professionally. It’s packed with horror cameos and more horror references than I could keep up with! There’s not a whole lot of slashing going on, for a slasher movie, rather it’s more of a behind the scenes look at the life of an aspiring slasher.
